EMPTIES: Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes

After a long day of work, the only thing my face wants to meet is the cool side of my pillow.  However, sleeping in a face fool of makeup is not a good idea.  So even when I am too lazy to do a full face wash, I always try to at least use some towelettes to do a quick wipe down of my face.

Now, I usually buy the Equate face wipes from Walmart and thought they were good enough.  They are cheap and come in large quantities, so that is what I stuck with.  However, I wanted to try something new.  So during one of my visits to Walgreens, I picked up the Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes.

When it comes to certain purchases, I can be cheap.  Which I'm sure my fiance will think is funny when he watches me shop at Sephora and spend way too much on an single eyeshadow.

Anywho...

Back to the price of the towelettes.  While the prices may vary upon the retailer, the website has them listed for $5.99.  That may not seem like much, but when you compare getting the double pack of Equate wipes (2 packs, 60 wipes a pack) for less than $7 to 30 wipes of Yes To Cucumbers for almost $6, sounds like no competition.

After I got past the price point, I tried the towelettes for a month.  The sheets are a bit thicker than the ones from Equate.  I was able to really do a nice wipe of my face without tearing the towelette. As far as the benefits of the cucumber.......that is another story.

According to the site:

Whether you're out and about, or hanging at home, we want to make sure you don't get the runaround when it comes to keeping your gorgeous face clean. Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes gently remove dirt, sweat and makeup without the need to rinse! These natural, biodegradable towelettes are packed with cucumbers, green tea, and aloe, and they naturally exfoliate, detoxify, and rejuvenate, keeping you free and fresh-faced!

Key Ingredients:

Organic Cucumbers are mildly astringent, yet soothing and can help reduce puffiness of the skin. Cucumber also aids in removing dead skin cells.

Aloe Vera is a highly effective, naturally gentle moisturizer that is known to refresh and sooth skin.

Green Tea is a natural antioxidant and astringent, and is effective in treating troubled skin and breakouts.

Disabled World's website states that cucumber reduces swelling and dark circles around the eyes. Cucumber also has cleansing and soothing qualities, which is probably great for people with sensitive skin (the target group for this particular product).

Overall, the product was good and did it's job. But the ultimate question is would I repurchase it? And I would have to say..........

MAYBE

Don't get me wrong, I think that the product does a great job in removing my makeup up; however, the other "benefits" that are supposed to come with this product weren't obvious enough for me to run to the store and repurchase this product immediately.  But if you do have very sensitive skin, this may be something you should look into.

Despite my lack of enthusiasm for this product, another Yes To towelette has caught my eye:-) (review coming soon)

**To make sure your wipes always stay moist: leave lid closed and turn upside down every so often, that way the moisture doesn't settle at the bottom for just the last sheets.
