Chemical Burns, Walmart Salons, and Crappy Customer Service

Prior to moving to Kentucky, I decided it would be a good idea to get one more relaxer. While I probably could of gone a bit longer before I had my hair relaxed, I preceded to go to the hair salon. Unfortunately, I left with serious regret. Trying to find someone "good" to do my hair seemed like I was asking for too much out of life. Not to offend, but my experience with hairdressers, specifically blacks ones, left me afraid to get attached since too often they would be in the wind before I knew it. It took me over 4 years to find a hair dresser who wouldn't burn me or do a horrific job when I was in college. When I returned home, I was happy to find a new girl named Whitney at the Family Style salon in Walmart. She was young, but she was passionate and not complacent, two things that some of my previous hairdressers had issues with. Wish List Wednesday 10/4/17

It seems like the only posts I can push out before my internet decides to betray me are my wish lists. However, I have a few posts I am working on and will have the up this week. Also, if you weren't aware, the link to all of these products are in the subheadings if not in the description. With that said, let's get started on this week's wish list... Lucky Break Olive Oversized Jacket from Lulus I stumbled across this jacket on my Pinterest feed and immediately fell in love. First off, my favorite color is green (in most shades) and I love a good jacket. With us moving back to the mainland, where there are actual seasons, I am excited for layers. I love the fact that when you scroll to the bottom of the page, there is a detailed description of size. Even better, the reviews that show the buyer's measurements so you can compare. Dupe List: MAC's Ambering Rose and Lorac's Hollywood

So I went by the MAC counter today looking for Dolly Mix. Unfortunately, they were sold out so I just lingered around to see if anything else caught my eye. I picked up several but was instantly drawn to one, Ambering Rose. It was beautiful. Almost as if NARS Taj Mahal and MAC Coopertone could have a baby, then Ambering Rose would be the offspring. It is a beautiful burnt orange/brown color with shimmer. Very flattering for darker skin tones. But once I got in the car, I started to realize the swatch on my hand looked really familiar. Then it hit me, it looked a lot like Lorac's Hollywood blush. As soon as I got home, I pulled the Lorac blush out of it's draw and swatched it. The two looked too close. Hollywood has a bit of a more brassy orange color to it than Ambering Rose, but at certain angles...........they might as well be the same.
