Empties: Pantene Truly Natural Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioner

It has been years since I used Pantene products.  When I posted this video back in 2010, I received several negative comments about Pantene shampoos and conditioners.  After researching the sources of some of this negativity, I decided to avoid Pantene for awhile.

However, when my sister purchased a new co-wash, I was surprised to see that it was by Pantene.  I was a bit hesitant to try it due to her last product recommendation, but she seemed to really like it and I had been searching for a good co-wash.

I didn't realize that Pantene had revamped their women of color line to include products for natural and relaxed hair.  The co-wash is obviously from the natural collection.
 According to the website:
-Give your hair the 1-2-3 treatment, in just one wash. Clean, detangle, and condition without stripping your hair's natural moisture.
-Cleanses, conditions, & detangles in 1 easy step without stripping the hair's natural moisture

Pantene continues by stating that the co-wash is gentle enough for color treated hair and used for in between shampoos for added shine and softness.

Overall, the product was good and did it's job. But the ultimate question is would I repurchase it? And I would have to say..........

I am absolutely in love with this product. In fact, I have bought 3 more bottles since my first empty bottle.  The feeling of my hair once I put a product in is usually the impression I run with on whether I should continue using the product.  Pantene's Co-Wash definitely gave my hair a softness that I could feel instantly and that continued after the wash.  Plus it gave my hair a nice cleanse without feeling like my hair had been stripped of moisture.

Depending on how much product (gels, mousse, etc.) I used on my hair during the week, I sometimes only used the co-wash for my hair as opposed to shampooing at all.  I have used other cleansing conditioners and usually felt disappointed because more than often the cleansing portion was more dominate in the formula and caused my hair to dry out.  This co-wash is creamy and blew the roof off of my low expectations. Because of this product, I have even tried a few other Pantene Truly Natural Hair products.

If you are looking for a inexpensive co-wash, I would definitely recommend you try it out.

Pantene Truly Natural Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioner retails for around $4.99 to $5.99 at most drugstores, Walmart, and Target.

Wednesday Wishes 7/2/14

Shoes, redecorating and losing weight have been the things that have been crowding my thoughts lately. Because of that, I have spent way too much time on Pinterest over the last few weeks.

With my husband returning soon, I have been scrambling to get my last bit of preparation done before his homecoming.  While I work on homecoming, these things have crept onto my wish list.

Tufted Headboard
The pictured bed can be found at
So in my attempt to redecorate my home, my bedroom took the back burner.  Since we are in a great need to get a new bed, I didn't want to put too much effort into something that didn't have a focal point......the bed.  I love tufted headboards and would love to have a cream colored one but know that would be hard for us to keep clean. But I would still be happy with a black or brown one.  I have managed to find a few that are reasonably priced, but of course the ones I love is WAAAAAAY more expensive.  Story of my life.

Valentino "Noir Rockstud" T-Strap Pump
So I am sure you can guess why this is on my wish list: Valentino.  With a price tag of $1,075 on the Nordstrom website, that is something way beyond my shoe budget. But I have seen this shoe quite a few times lately from Instagram to magazines and I couldn't help but love them. I like these more than the regular Valentino Rockstud beceause the studs blend in more with the shoe; however, there is a lime green or yellow pair that I have seen that are amazing. Also, I have always loved a t-strap heel, so much so that I held on to a pair for far too long that the strap doesn't even fasten properly anymore.  These shoes are sexy with a bit of edge and I wish I had the money to buy them. But I guess I will just settle for looking at them from afar.

Giuseppe Zanotti Multicolor Fluorescent T-Strap Platform Sandal
Yes.......another out of my price range t-strap heel.  I first saw this on Instagram (of course) and thought these would be some sexy summer shoes.  Besided the fact that they are expensive, I get the impression that they are from last summer because the one site I found them on had them on sale and out of stock, several other retailers don't even have them on their website.  Not that it matters, even if the shoes were half off they would still be beyond my reach.
A Sexy, Confident Homecoming
So this may be a t.m.i. moment, but I've never been a lingerie girl. Before my husband, foreplay started off with a "You wanna fuck?" So when I got married, I thought it would be different. Well, old habits die hard.  My plan was to bust my ass in the gym during this deployment, so when homecoming came I could be confident to wear something like the girl in the picture.  Unfortunately, my laziness got in the way. While I have lost a noticeable amount of weight, it isn't anywhere close to where I want to be.  The loss isn't too bad since being celibate for 9 months, I'm sure my husband will just be happy to be laid even if I am looking less than lingerie ready.
So what are you wishing for?

Deployment Weightloss: The Home Stretch with 10lbs to Go

So for the last couple of months, I have been horrible with trying to lose weight. Between the trips back to Georgia and lack of motivation, my eating habits and workouts have been really inconsistent.

With the loss of my Fitbit watch, what was left of my motivation went out the window. I got on the scale on Saturday to check out the damage and was pleasantly surprised that I really hadn't gained any weight.  So I am trying to regain motivation and  lose at least 10 more pounds before my husband returns.
Now, 170 is not my final goal but for the short amount of time I have, it is the most realistic.  I will admit I am still struggling with this restart but I am really trying.  Found a gym where I can take my son with me and a work out buddy for the days the gym is closed and I have to go to the track.

My husband is already surprised by my weight loss so I feel somewhat accomplished in that aspect.  But I really want to make sure I look good in my dress for the battalion ball.  Which is a whole other obstacle for me right now.

While I can see the changes in my body, I am a little disappointed in myself that I know I could of been further if I had stuck with my routine from earlier in this deployment.  But I try not to beat myself up about it too much.  Life happens and I am learning that stress doesn't usually aid in helping you.

Fourth of July is coming and one of best friends from college are flying to Kentucky for the weekend.  This will be a true test of my self control.  Between the holiday and my desire to hang out with her verses being in the gym.............well it won't be beneficial to my weight loss.

Ten pounds is my goal and I plan to accomplish it. I got a good work out in last night with my friend and heading to the gym today.  I want to be in a size 8 before the ball (I'm currently between a 12 and a 10). So here is hoping for the best. Until next time.....
