God, Homosexuality, Rape, and Murder

So I recently received two new comments on a video I have on YouTube. I saw these messages after, I got a loooooooooooong detailed message in my inbox about homosexuality and God allegedly hating gays. Now I respect your opinion as long as you don't insult me and you TRY to be intelligent about it. The message I got was more intelligent than the actual comment one of the users posted. Both comments stated the most ridiculous comparisons. First, they stated that there was no such thing as "bi-curious" or "bi-sexual". Fine, I can understand that, for I know a lot of people don't think there is such a thing. However, they went on to compare homosexuality and bi-curiosity to violent crimes such as murder and rape. What the fuck is wrong with you!? To compare a victimless act to horrendous crimes is disgusting. As a Christian, I know that homosexuality is considered wrong. However, I have plenty of friends who are homosexual. God tells us to love one a...

Chemical Burns, Walmart Salons, and Crappy Customer Service

Prior to moving to Kentucky, I decided it would be a good idea to get one more relaxer. While I probably could of gone a bit longer before I had my hair relaxed, I preceded to go to the hair salon. Unfortunately, I left with serious regret. Trying to find someone "good" to do my hair seemed like I was asking for too much out of life. Not to offend, but my experience with hairdressers, specifically blacks ones, left me afraid to get attached since too often they would be in the wind before I knew it. It took me over 4 years to find a hair dresser who wouldn't burn me or do a horrific job when I was in college. When I returned home, I was happy to find a new girl named Whitney at the Family Style salon in Walmart. She was young, but she was passionate and not complacent, two things that some of my previous hairdressers had issues with. The nape of my neck prior to my last relaxer and about 3 years after a bad chemical burn that gave me a keloid (tr...

Hair Experiment: One 'N Only Argan Oil Hair Color - 4R Medium Red Brown (Picture Heavy)

As I sit here to type this review, I can feel exhaustion coming down on me hard. The joys of being a wife and mom means despite that feeling, I still have to cook dinner and give my son his final bottle (because he never wants to act right with my husband for bed time). However, I said I was going to post daily and since I missed yesterday's post, I have to post twice today. I've actually been meaning to post about this product for awhile but of course I was still in my lazy phase:-) I wanted to dye my hair a red brown. My husband convinced me to try something "stronger" than a drugstore brand. After speaking with two different sales girls at Sally's, I went with the One `N Only Argan Oil Hair Color in the color 4R. I ultimately ended up dying my hair twice. I waited about 2 weeks for the second application. Now, the mixture for the hair color is 1 part color to 2 parts developer. I ultimately used the whole...

Another Weight Loss Journey: Day One

So I went into Monday determined that this would be a fresh start. I started off well. I had a milk chocolate SlimFast for breakfast and a Healthy Choice beef merlot steam meal for lunch with a Red Bull (the small ones, cause i was hella tired). The night didn't end as well. Gave into temptation and had a good little stack of cheddar Pringles (the wheat ones), a bag of Sour Patch watermelon candy, another milk chocolate Slimfast and some string cheese. Now compared to previous days, that wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, I didn't work out nor did I do the QuickTrim. I want to do the QT but the reviews online were really bad, but I will soon and let you know what I think.

Empties: Lush's R&B Hair Moisturizer

A couple of months back, I decided to take my friend Dorian to our local Lush store. I've been curious to try some of their products lately, so I figured why not make it part of our day out. I scanned the shelves and counters looking for a product to try but I am not going to lie, the prices humbled my spending desire. Initially, I settled on the H'Suan Wen Hua for my hair, but after speaking with the sales associate I decided to go with the R&B Hair Moisturizer . According to the website , it is supposed to "revive and balance misbehaving hair." So I used the R&B for my twist outs after washing my hair and applying leave-in conditioner. Now, I won't lie, $25.95 for only 3.5 ounces was hard to swallow. I mean seriously, I feel like I have too much hair for that! When I did use the product I used it sparingly. Surprisingly, a little went a long way. There is a bit of a scent, which I usually don't care for perf...
